Founders4Schools (F4S) is encouraging UK schools to share some of the best practice projects they are involved in that are helping to foster a culture of sustainability among pupils.
We are supporting the Global Sustainability Awards, led by ARCedtech and other partners, as an opportunity for schools to showcase how they are making the world a better place. Applications are already coming in from across the globe with entries from schools based in Canada, India, Sri Lanka, Argentina and Croatia to name just a few. As a UK-based charity, we would love to highlight the good work being done by UK schools leading the way.
One of the flagship sustainability projects we are working on here at F4S, the Global Sustainability Awards look to promote the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in schools from around the globe. These free awards seek to applaud efforts by schools and showcase best practice projects that are igniting young minds to create a sustainable world.
ESD empowers the learners with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values needed to address the challenges the world is facing today, be it climate change, loss of biodiversity, gender discrimination, or poverty. Education alone cannot achieve a sustainable future, however, education is the first step that leads to the goal of sustainability.
It's free to enter the completion, schools are invited to submit Round 1 applications online now.
Give your school a chance of winning an award for sustainability for one of the following categories …
