Founders4Schools (F4S) is partnering with ARCedtech to launch the Global Sustainability Awards, an opportunity for schools to showcase what they are doing to foster the culture of sustainability among children.
The Global Sustainability Awards are organized by ARCedtech, in partnership with UNESCO and other partners including F4S, to promote the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in schools from around the globe. These Awards look to applaud efforts by schools to foster the culture of sustainability among children and showcase the best practices from schools around the globe.
ESD empowers the learners with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to address the challenges the world is facing today, be it climate change, loss of biodiversity, gender discrimination, or poverty. Education alone cannot achieve a sustainable future, however, education is the first step that leads to the goal of sustainability.
The contest, opening today 15th July 2021, is seeking entries from schools around the world, UK schools have until 30th September 2021 to submit the Round 1 application. The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on 10th December 2021.
