In honour of Role Model Week, our Founders4Schools Trustee Lauren shares her thoughts with us on why role models are important to the world around us. Watch the full video here and listen to the song My little light by Beautiful Chorus.
"As I think about Role Model Week, it's incredibly important for me to express love and gratitude to everybody who takes the time - not just to do the work, to get the role, to be the first, second or third - but to pull others up as you climb.
Make sure that you're not only looking up as you're climbing that ladder, but you're reinforcing every single rung beneath you, and really encouraging people to climb behind you, climb over you, really grow and become their ancestors' wildest imaginations.
So thank you so much for any work that you're doing consciously or unconsciously as a role model - I know that there are young people looking up to many of you today, sitting in schools and imagining what it might be like to be you to do something that you do.
Thank you, and thank you so much for your support of Founders4Schools."
