The Sustainable Futures programme has been designed to address the urgent need to prepare young people between the ages of 14-18 for the future job market, unleashing a green economic recovery. This exciting new programme will provide sustainability skills training and mentoring for young people, teachers and career leaders in all schools across the UK, free of charge. It will also provide schools and young people with access to leaders in business for experiences in the workplace and role-modelling.
Sustainable Futures is committed to enabling and empowering all young people, especially those from less-advantaged backgrounds, to envision and access rewarding careers that play a positive part in addressing the environmental challenges of our time. We have brought together the strengths, expertise and passion of WWF-UK, Villiers Park and Founders4Schools to create this programme.
We would like to extend our collaborative approach further in the form of an Advisory Group, gaining new insights and advice to ensure this programme delivers with maximum impact. The Advisory Group will be made up of thought leaders and experts in the field of education, careers, business, sustainability, and social mobility.
We are seeking a senior leader in an early careers team from a diverse background.

The Chair of our Advisory Group is Joy Carter, previously Vice Chancellor of the University of Winchester, and also a Commissioner of the Climate Commission for UK Higher and Further Education.
We will meet once a term (1hr 15 mins each meeting), with the first virtual meeting being held Wednesday 19th October – 10:30 – 11:45am. The remaining dates for meetings this academic year are Tuesday 7th February – 10 – 11:15am and Tuesday 6th June - 10 – 11:15am.
