Brentford School for Girls
Brentford School for Girls were delighted to welcome five business leaders of successful and growing businesses to inspire Year 11 students at the start of the new academic year.
Liz Gers, Community Coordinator and Co-Head of Year 11 at Brentford School, used Founders4Schools free service to identify great leaders of local businesses and brought them into the classroom to tell their inspiring career stories.
The feedback from the Year 11 students was positive without exception. They enjoyed hearing about all the different pathways that the speakers had taken and the varied job roles they all had. There was an opportunity for questions and answers at the end, which students found incredibly useful.
The School welcomed Elizabeth Deeming (COO of Stylus Media Group), Dana Tobak (Founder of Hyperoptic), Shannon Edwards (Entrepreneur), Simon Kelly (Director at Linkedin) and William Rowe (Founder of Protein).
Each speaker told the students their own journeys that have led them to where they are today. The leaders left impressed by the ambition and the potential of the students.
